“Let him lead me to the banquet hall, and let his banner over me be love.” Song of Solomon 2:4
The banqueting house in the verse above represents a place of abundance and celebration. It is a place where the Bride and the Bridegroom can come together and enjoy each other's company. The banner over the Bride that says "love" shows that she is completely covered and surrounded by the love of her beloved.
In Revelation 19:7 & 9 it describes Jesus as a Bridegroom and the church as His bride. It says, “Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready… Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!” One day soon Jesus will bring us into His banqueting house, where we can enjoy the richness of His presence. completely enveloped and surrounded by His unconditional love.
